If your eSIM isn’t connecting after arriving at your destination, try these steps.

Quick fixes

  1. Toggle the eSIM off and on — Go to your phone’s SIM settings, turn off the Roamly eSIM, wait 10 seconds, and turn it back on.
  2. Enable data roaming — Your Roamly eSIM needs data roaming enabled to connect to local networks.
    • iPhone: Settings > Mobile Data > tap your Roamly eSIM > turn on Data Roaming.
    • Android: Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > tap your Roamly eSIM > turn on Roaming.
  3. Set as data SIM — Make sure your Roamly eSIM is selected as the active data source.
    • iPhone: Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data > select your Roamly eSIM.
    • Android: Settings > Network & Internet > SIMs > tap your Roamly eSIM > set as data SIM.
  4. Restart your phone — A simple restart often resolves connection issues.
  5. Try Automatic network selection — Go to your carrier/network settings and make sure network selection is set to Automatic.

Still not working?

  • Check that your plan hasn’t expired — log in to My eSIMs and check the status.
  • Make sure your phone is carrier-unlocked.
  • Make sure you’re in a location with mobile coverage.
